PersonalWriters is always seeking creative, proficient writers to complete editorial, writing work for us (including but not limited to statements of purpose, personal statements, resumes, CVs, cover letters, and or letters of recommendation), either on a freelance basis or as a permanent hire. Our writers provide writing services, comprehensive proofreading services, and even advice to clients with the aim of providing our clients the most effective and relevant documents possible. PersonalWriters exists as a collaborative project online, with our writers being disciplined and seasoned enough to set their own schedules, receiving competitive compensation, which is disclosed up front, when a job is completed. There is little specific training involved, nor should it be required bar the normal protocol and workplace functioning adjustment period. All of our writers are professionals, with at least a graduate degree or substantial experience in professional writing, or writing as a part of their normal work. The leeway we give our writers is based on the assumption that they are well-versed in deadline-oriented work, and can manage their own quality and time with little or no guidance from our management.

If you are interested in writing for us, and feel that you are qualified, we invite you to complete our short survey, submit your resume and up to three samples of your best writing, within the context of our services. We will acknowledge receipt of your materials promptly and will give you a decision within 72 hours. Bear in mind that our peak writing season lasts from late April until the end of September, thus the number of writing jobs will be substantially higher during this time period. If we are interested in using your services, we will contact you and give you a sample exercise, which we will evaluate and respond to within about 24 hours. Before being officially hired, as either a per contract basis or permanent hire, you will be asked to review and electronically sign an electronic email contract.

Note: if you are hired as a freelancer or permanent hire, you are expected to supply your own equipment, software and any online subscriptions you may need, including Internet access to complete the job. We understand that our writers may work for several companies simultaneously and feel that this is completely acceptable as long as the quality of your product does not suffer.
